STATE ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN: NY Renews Climate, Jobs and Justice Recovery Campaign 2020-2021
As part of the NY Renews coalition, we worked hard to achieve passage of the groundbreaking NYS Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) in June 2019. Now we're advocating to pass a bill by making polluters pay. The new bill is known as the Climate and Community Investment Act (CCIA).

CCIA Action Opportunity: March 11th NY Jewish Community Faith Day of Action
On March 11 at 11:00AM ET, please join with NYC and NYS Jewish leaders in an event to center our climate crisis as THE Jewish issue of our time.
Convened by Jewish Climate Action Network NYC (JCAN NYC) you’ll hear powerful words by Shai Held of Hadar, Nigel Savage of Hazon, Jennie Rosenn of Dayenu and other rabbis across the spectrum of the Jewish world. Hear the inspiring music of Hazzan Basya Schechter of Romemu and Pharaoh's Daughter.
You will also be guided to make phone calls to elected officials in Albany to help pass a critical piece of NYS legislation: the Climate & Community Investment Act (CCIA).
We’re grateful to our event co-sponsors:
Ansche Chesed, Congregation Rodeph Sholom, B'nai Jeshurun, Dayenu, Fort Tryon Jewish Center, Greenfaith, Hadar, Hazon, Jewish Climate Coalition, Jewish Earth Alliance, NY Renews, Romemu, The Beis Community.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
MARGARET MEAD
"The life of humanity and its food is [from] a tree of the field…and it is not the way of a wise and understanding nation to needlessly destroy something so worthy; therefore you should not cut down a tree of the field, rather you should protect it from destruction and damage, and take benefit from it." - Rabbeinu Bachya (1255-1340 CE, Spain)
